Self-Care Strategies for Women Educators

Please contact us if you cannot find an answer to your question.
The COVID 19 pandemic and its byproducts created an enduring and unhealthy impact on educational leaders' health and wellbeing (Brackett, 2020; Ravitch, 2022; Smith, 2021; Superville, 2022; Woo & Steiner, 2022). “The results are really striking that 8 in 10 principals [said they were] experiencing job-related stress,” said Ashley Woo, the lead author of the new report from the RAND Corporation. The study also found that this job-related stress impacted women and those working in high poverty schools the most during the pandemic (Woo & Steiner, 2022; Superville, 2022). We must provide educational leaders with the tools and supports they need to enhance the professional quality of their lives in a manner that will allow them to succeed, thrive and survive as leaders. (Smith, 2021, McKee 2017, Ravitch 2022).
HerJourns leadership consultants assist educators who lead by designing customized professional development to meet their unique leadership needs with a focus on self-care.
